Bassian Thrush Gallery

Zoothera lunulata
A pretty little thrush often seen around Wombolly, particularly in the cooler months, scratching amongst the leaves for grubs and worms. This bird is very deft at plucking worms from the lawn - it cocks its head, stares at the spot and with one quick action, takes its prey.  Click on images to enlarge.
