Gang-gang Cockatoo Gallery

Callocephalon fimbriatum
The male Gang Gang has a pretty, fluffy crest on his bright red head. Sometimes seen around Wombolly in pairs feeding quietly on Black Wattle seeds. You can get fairly close to them before they fly off. They are often heard calling out with their raspy, croaky call as they fly at speed through the eucalypts.  Click on images to enlarge.
