Australian Black-backed Magpie Gallery

Cracticus tibicen
These birds, actually members of the butcher-bird family, are always seen around Wombolly, usually in pairs.  They spend their time wandering around the mown areas in seach of worms and bugs, their deft plunging beaks usually scoring direct hits. Click on images to enlarge.
